Reading Reflections - Innermetrix Disc Index Reflection

The Innermetrix Disc Index

This online assessment was interesting in that I was aware that I was being asked similar questions over and over again, but I stayed focused on trying to answer the questions honestly. DISC represents D for Decisive, I for Interactive, S for stability and C for cautious.

Decisive is one's preference for problem solving and getting results
Interactive is one's preference for interacting with others and showing emotion
Stability is one's preference for pacing, persistence, and steadiness
Cautious is one's preference for procedures, standards, and protocols

It's no surprise to me that my lowest score was in Decisive. I am not someone who focuses on solving problems, although I can solve problems. I scored higher in Interactive and Stability, which makes total sense to me. I am a people person, and I am also an achiever who is fairly calm and even-tempered. I am, however, persistence when it comes to pursuing my daily tasks and goals, but I don't feel that I am uptight about reaching my goals. Therefore, I feel as though I am a steady person. I scored a little lower in the Cautious area (lower than Interactive and Stability but higher than Decisive). I am cautious when it comes to following procedures and rules. I am not necessarily a rule breaker, but I am someone who stands up for myself and my department when I feel strongly about an injustice.

I find it somewhat satisfying to know that my adaptive scores aren't way out of whack and are in line with the natural scores. I'd like to think I am an honest person and that I behave the same whether or not someone is observing me.

All in all, this was a fun self-reflection. :)
